 THE ŚWIĘTOKRZYSKIE ASSOCIATION OF INDUSTRIAL HERITAGE IN KIELCE |
Scientific meetings and conferences
- Participation in a symposium connected with the event of "Kuźnice Koneckie 2000" organised by the Poviat's Starosty in Końskie. Contemporary process engineers of smith work presented papers on the history of the industrial area in the Konecki poviat as well as evaluated functioning of Old Polish forging shops. The list of the speakers from the Świętokrzyskie Association of Industrial Heritage is as follows: prof. Z.Guldon (The Pedagogical University in Kielce), dr hab. M.Karbowniczek, dr I.Suliga (The University of Mining and Metallurgy in Cracow), mgr R.Wojewódzki (the City Council in Kielce).
- October 2000- organisation of the national archaeological conference: "The Świętokrzyskie region metallurgy and other centres of ancient iron smelting in Polish territory" in Wólka Milanowska in the Nowa Słupia vicinity. The conference participants represented specialists in the subject from numerous scientific centres and universities: the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Cracow, the Archaeological Museum in Cracow, the Pedagogical University in Kielce, The Archaeological Museum in Wrocław, the Museum of Ancient Metallurgy in Pruszków, the State Archaeological Museum in Warsaw, the Polish Academy of Sciences, the Jagiellonian University, the Warsaw University, the Wrocław University, the Lublin University, the District Museum in Toruń, the Great Poland Centre of Studies and Protection of Cultural Environment in Trzebinia, Archeological Inspection at the Voivodeschip Department of Monument Preservation in Kielce in Kielce.
- Organisation of the session devoted to the 185th anniversary of the Academy of Mining and Metallurgy in Kielce and the celebration of the anniversary (24. 10. 2001).
