Educational activities for primary and secondary school students as well as university students
  • The organisation of series of educational trips for school children spending the time of their winter and summer holidays in the place of their permanent residence. Since 1999 we have organised educational activities in the area of ancient mine of striped-flint and the skansen museum of a Neolithic village in Krzemionki (the vicinity of Ostrowiec ¦więtokrzyski) as well as in the area of "Piecowisko" in Nowa Słupia. Teenagers can learn about the realities of life in ancient times by learning a series of basic activities of Neolithic flint miners and metallurgists smelting iron in the Holy Cross mountains area in the Roman period. The activities are organised in co-operation with the Historical-Archaeological Museum in Ostrowiec ¦wietokrzyski and the Museum of Ancient Metallurgy in the Holy Cross mountains region in Nowa Słupia. The trips remain of considerable interest.
  • Project and realisation of the outdoor event "Iron Roots" (1st edition 14th-19th May 2002, 2nd edition 13th-17th May 2003 in the "furnace area" in Nowa Słupia) since 2004 (18th-22nd May) the event has been organised in the area of Archeopark in the nature and Technology Museum in Starachowice. It is an enterprise of an educational character directed at school students. The presentations cover aspects of everyday life and crafts in the Roman times with a special emphasis on the ancient metallurgy of the region. Over 10 000 students coming mostly from other regions (małopolskie, podkarpackie, łódzkie and mazowieckie region) have so far actively participated in the presentations.
